Daily Prayer For January 7, 2021
on Fri Jan 08, 2021 10:49 pm
Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
Sometimes we find ourselves in situations where it feels like we are groping along in a dark tunnel, and we can’t see any signs of light. From our vantage point, we don’t see how things will ever be okay again. When we face dark times that try our souls, help us trust that you are The Good Shepherd who promises to lead and guide us through the dark valleys. You tell us to fear no evil because you are with us. We’re told your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light on our path. You promise your protection, provision, and comfort in all we face. You promise not to work just some things, but ALL things together for good for those who love you. May we be filled with your peace as we remember your promises.
We are grateful that even when you seem silent, you are with us. We are grateful that no matter what comes or goes, we can count on your promises to never leave us and to lead us, comfort us, and direct our paths. Help us to hear your voice above all others. Help us to see signs of your nearness. Help us to trust in what you say more than what we feel. Help us trust that though things may be out of our control, you are still on the throne, and you have not relinquished your power or authority. We are grateful that your track record of seeing us through our difficult days is 100%, and you have not brought us this far to fail us now.
We are grateful that you call us beloved, and you are our loving, concerned, conscientious Father who has gone before us and will faithfully move heaven and earth to make sure that not one scheme of the enemy will triumph over us. You have anticipated all we will face and all we will need. Help us remember in our times of uncertainty that you see everything that we can’t…you understand all that our minds can’t comprehend…you know the answers before we ask the questions. May your Word and Spirit remind us that with your help, one day at a time, you will see us through all that we face…through being the operative word…these dark places are not our final destination…they are a passageway to a deeper faith and better things that lie ahead.
Thank you for all you do for us and for all that you are. We are grateful that you hold us and all of our days safely in your hands. We are thankful that though people may let us down, you never will. We love you, Lord, and we are grateful that we can come to you in Jesus’ name. Amen
May the Lord bless you, keep you and make His face shine upon you, friends!
