Daily Prayer For January 3, 2021
on Mon Jan 04, 2021 6:14 pm
Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…
Dear Lord,
We like to think of a new year as a fresh slate filled with new beginnings, where anything is possible, and in so many ways, we know that it is. Each day we wake up is a day full of possibilities where everything can change instantly because you are the Miracle-Working God who is the same yesterday, today, and forever…but we also know that many are still dealing with things that the new year hasn’t changed. Many among us are still dealing with chronic illness and pain, while others are dealing with terminal illnesses themselves or have loved ones who are. Many are still dealing with the same situations beyond their control to change…We lift up to you all who see the pages on the calendar change, but they still face the same struggles, disappointments, and heartaches as the days all blur together.
Lord, you are The One we turn to for our help, hope, and healing. You are The One we need every moment of every day and every day of every year. Please comfort all who are discouraged. Waiting is hard, especially when we feel like we are on our own and that no one understands…when we feel like life is passing us by, but moving forward for everyone else…
We pray for all who are finding it hard to hold on. May people feel your nearness. Holy Spirit, please breathe life, refreshment, hope, and peace into each one, as only you can. We lay our burdens and loved ones before you. We pour out to you all that is heavy on our hearts. We lift our hands to you and ask you to empty us so we might be filled by you.
Please unleash your power, grace, peace, and strength on the weary, weak, and hurting. Encourage and lift the hopeless and depressed from the pit of despair. Show your might in their circumstances. We are asking, seeking, knocking, and standing in the gap for those who are too weak and weary to even pray for themselves. May people find your courage and strength to keep holding on. Please meet each need, spoken and unspoken, and we thank you in advance for all you will do. In the name of Jesus, we ask these things. Amen
Blessings be upon you and those you love!
