Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We lift up to you all who are ill…all who are sad, lonely, anxious, worried, and fearful… all who are feeling like they’ve been left out while the world celebrates Christmas, and all who are wondering where you are in the midst of their suffering. This year is so hard and difficult for so many. There have been so many losses and so many changes, but Emmanuel’s birth reminds us we never have to wonder where He is in the midst of our struggles. We are so grateful He is beside us in everything we face, and He is intimately acquainted with our pain, grief, and suffering. May those who are hurting be reminded that THE ONE who sees and hears our innermost thoughts, our deepest longings, and our times of intense suffering and pain promises to be with us until we are old and gray with age. What a comfort it is to know He is never closer than when our hearts are breaking.

Help us remember that Christmas is more than a feeling…it is more than what the world says it is…it is more than family gatherings and traditions…those are wonderful things to share and experience, but this year as everything looks so different, may we remember what we really celebrate…we celebrate our Savior and King. We celebrate a promise fulfilled and hope within us. We celebrate the fact that the same power that raised Christ from the dead is within us. We celebrate the miraculous truth that our Savior is alive, and our hearts are His home. Even though Christmas looks different this year, the most important things remain…we have a Risen Savior who came to die that we might live.

We are so grateful that you love us so much that you went to such great lengths to make a way for us…to save us…to be with us. Help us to never doubt our worth or value in your eyes. No matter who rejects us, no matter who has a low opinion of us, no matter who comes against us…all of that pales in comparison to all you’ve done for us so we can be called your children and share in your Kingdom. Thank you for the incredible gift of Jesus. Thank you for giving us your strength and hope. Thank you for your promises fulfilled and the promise of all that is to come. We love you. We praise you. We bow before you this day and worship you. In the name of our Messiah Jesus, we pray. Amen

May your day be filled with His joy and peace, friends!
