Daily Prayer For December 20, 2020
on Mon Dec 21, 2020 5:41 pm
Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…
Dear Heavenly Father,
As we enter this week, where we celebrate Jesus’ birth, may we remember all that you did to send us a Savior and Redeemer. May we be caught up in worshipping and serving you this week. May we be consumed with thoughts of all that we gained when Jesus entered our world and lives. May our hearts overflow with joy as we are reminded of your eternal, undeniable and overwhelming love that compelled you to send your only Son so if we believe, we would not perish but have everlasting life.
May our hearts be filled with reverential awe and wonder as we remember all the miracles that surrounded Jesus’ birth…things like Elizabeth becoming pregnant well past childbearing age…how Elizabeth and her unborn baby John were filled with the Holy Spirit when they heard Mary say hello…how they recognized by your Spirit that she was carrying our Messiah. It’s so easy to overlook all the miraculous things you did to confirm that Jesus was indeed the long-awaited Messiah.
May we truly make this Christmas about Jesus…about sharing the good news of the gospel…about sharing the hope we have because Jesus came, died, and defeated death so we might live. May your Spirit and love compel us to focus on the things that are eternal this week. We have so much to celebrate…so much to be joyful about…so much to be grateful for, and so much to look forward to.
We thank you for all you’ve done and praise you for who you are. We offer up this week to you and all that is in it. May we glorify you and put you in the rightful place on the throne of our lives. It’s in the mighty name of our Savior and Messiah Jesus, we pray. Amen.
May you and your week be richly blessed, friends!
