Daily Prayer For December 19, 2020
on Mon Dec 21, 2020 5:37 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Our Father,
Everyone here has weathered many storms. We know we all must face adversity, but so many have also faced their trials alone. Many have been let down, put down, ignored, and misjudged. We lift up all who feel they must remain silent in their suffering for fear of being ostracized or criticized…for those who have faced rejection and harsh treatment when they dare to be real and share what is happening in their lives…for those who have found a lack of support when they have tried to express the pain they deal with emotionally, mentally or physically…for those who are thought to be faking, exaggerating or not trying hard enough…we ask for you to pull them up out of the muck and the mire that makes them feel like they are trudging through life alone. We pray that your words and your comfort would make up for the words that should have been said by others but weren’t. We pray that your voice will drown out the hurtful words that sound like thunder in the midst of their storms…we pray that you would be their shelter when it feels like their world is about to cave in and collapse…be their stability and their strength, Father.
For those who are dealing with things like stress, anxiety, PTSD, insomnia, depression, fear, worry, and mental or physical health issues that impact the brain…please bring peace to the storms that are raging in their minds. Just like you calm the winds and the waves with just a word, we ask for you to please do the same in each unsettled mind and heart. We know nothing is impossible for you, Father. We ask to see your goodness and healing in the land of the living.
For each weary heart…for each person who thinks they are broken beyond repair, for each person who thinks that their situation is hopeless, for each person who is full of questions with no answers… please impress on their hearts the need to seek you out with a new sense of urgency and expectancy. May they find examples in your Word that bring comfort. The Bible says that everything written in the past was written to teach us so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures, we might have hope. Please fill each person here with your hope. Give each person praying the strength they need to face all that is before them. May we all sense your nearness in our comings and goings. We love you, Father, and we thank you in advance for all you will do. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
May God richly bless you, friends!
