Daily Prayer For December 17, 2020
on Fri Dec 18, 2020 8:19 pm
Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
When we think of Jesus’ birth, we are reminded that you control all things. You alone can arrange for a virgin to become pregnant just as it was foretold it would happen. You alone could move the heart of a Roman Emperor to demand a census be taken that required Mary and Joseph to travel to the town it had been prophesied 700 years earlier that the Messiah would be born in. You alone could arrange things so Jesus, “The Bread of Life,” would be born in a town whose name means “house of bread.” You alone could arrange for our Savior to be born in a place where sacrificial lambs were birthed, so we would be reminded that Jesus came to be the Lamb who was slain as a sacrifice for our sins.
With miracle after miracle that surrounded Jesus’ birth, you have shown yourself faithful, all-powerful, all-knowing, and full of loving-kindness and compassion. There are no mistakes or coincidences with you. You are not slow to answer, but perfect in all your ways. You are beyond time or space…you are above heaven and earth…you are the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and End, The Lord God Almighty, and we give you all praise, glory, and honor for who you are and for your magnificent deeds.
We are grateful that we can face today and every day knowing we are safe, loved, and held by you. You tell us that we are precious to you and your actions show it. You do not lie, and you do not go back on your word. May Jesus’ birth remind us of how magnificent you are and what great lengths you have gone to so we might find salvation and redemption.
Thank you, Lord, for our many blessings and for your great love for us. May thoughts of you fill us with joy and peace. We thank you for the precious gift of our Savior Jesus, in whose me we pray. Amen
May your day be abundantly blessed, friends!
