Daily Prayer For December 16, 2020
on Fri Dec 18, 2020 8:10 pm
Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
Thank you for this new day. As we gather together today, we pray for all who feel physically drained…for all who feel emotionally depleted…for all who are feeling upset, angry, or frustrated about things they are helpless to change. We lift to you all who feel empty because of sorrow and grief.
Lord, we look to you for the comfort and refreshment that only you can give. Help us center our minds on thoughts that are right, pure, lovely, and wholesome…things that build up and not tear down…things that will fill us with your peace.
We ask you to re-energize us and help us rise above all that weighs us down and depletes us emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. Help us rise up with wings like eagles, run the race before us and not be weary. Help us to find refreshment in your presence and renewed hope and strength to face this day. You tell all who are weary and burdened to come to you, and you will give us rest. Help us to exhale our cares, and inhale your peace. Help us learn to drink deeply from your well that never runs dry. Our bodies may fail, our strength may grow weak, we may grow weary, but you are the strength of our hearts and our portion forever. We are yours, and you have promised to hold us and sustain us. We look to you, the lifter of our heads.
We thank you that we can come to you, and we don’t have to pretend to be anything we are not. We don’t have to fake that we’re fine when we’re not. We can be real with you and trust that you understand and know just what we need…you lack nothing, and because we are your beloved children, we know that we will lack no good thing as you care for us. We give you praise, glory, and honor. We look to you, for we know where and who our help comes from, and we thank you in advance for all you will do. In the name of Jesus, we ask these things. Amen
May you feel His power, strength, and energy coursing through you today, friends!
