Daily Prayer For December 12, 2020
on Sat Dec 12, 2020 11:02 pm
Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Father,
We are so grateful that you sent Jesus to be our Redeemer. What a blessing it is to know that no one is ever too far gone to be redeemed by you. We are thankful that you see past all that we are to what we will be. Like an artist staring at a blank canvas, you already see the finished work and the beautiful masterpiece you are creating from our lives. You see the damaged areas no one else sees. You see all the pain and heartache…all the wounds that have never healed…all the bruises from hurtful words…all the broken, missing pieces…all that is dirty and tainted from the darkness of sin and living in this world. In your infinite grace, mercy, and wisdom, you have a plan to bring beauty from the brokenness in our lives. You see how to blend all the colors and shades from the good and the bad to make us a beautiful reflection of Jesus.
We are grateful that you see how to bring forth a message from our messes, a testimony from our tests, and triumph from our trials. We’re so grateful that we are more than what we’ve been through, and our struggles are not our identity. We are grateful that we are not defined by what people think about us, but what you say about us. We are grateful that your Word is full of testimonies and stories about very flawed people you used mightily for your kingdom, plans, and purposes. Thank you for forgiving us, redeeming us, and restoring us, Father. Thank you for your unconditional love for us! Thank you for bringing beauty from ashes and for making all things beautiful in their time.
We often don’t understand why things happen. It can be frustrating to seek elusive answers. Help us remember that having the answers isn’t what’s important…knowing you, the One who has all the answers, is what matters the most. We are grateful that one day we will see and understand clearly all the mysteries of this life. For now, please help us to trust your vision and plans. Help us to seek you and your peace more than we seek answers. Please help us accept the things we can’t change. Give us the courage to change the things we can and the wisdom to know the difference. Help us not to waste our days, time, or potential. Help us surrender all that we are, so we can become all you intended us to be. We humbly ask these things in the name of our Savior Jesus. Amen.
Blessings be upon you and your day, friends!
