Daily Prayer For December 11, 2020
on Sat Dec 12, 2020 10:53 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the privilege of waking to see another day. Today we lift to you all the unsung heroes in our world…the people who are known by you but are nameless to us…all of the people who work tirelessly behind the scenes to help others…from the caregivers, therapists, and home health aides, to those who go out on the streets to feed the homeless and to share the gospel.
There are so many who work behind the scenes to help abused women and rescue trafficked kids. People who give their time to help clean up disaster-ravaged areas, volunteer on suicide and domestic abuse hotlines, serve in shelters, and donate their time in service in small remote villages in impoverished countries. There are so many who devote their lives to bringing hope, relief, and the gospel wherever they see a need. They don’t receive accolades or media attention…they just live to be of service.
We ask you to pour out your blessings on them, so they can continue to bless others. Please protect all who do the dangerous jobs of serving, rescuing, and protecting others. Please provide for all of their needs so they can continue to do their good works and deeds. Please continue to grant them good health, strength, and energy to meet the physical demands they face. We also pray for all who are in retail and work for delivery services. This is such a hectic time of year for them with long hours, little rest, and many stressful situations. Please pour out your grace, strength, and energy upon them.
Please place people and things on our hearts that you want us to pray for. Give us opportunities to be a source of encouragement to others. We are lifted higher by reaching down to help others. We help ourselves when we help others. We will never know this side of heaven, the positive impact of our prayers, kind words, or actions. May everything we do be as unto you this day. May your will be done through us and in us. May our hearts be filled with gratitude and our minds filled with peace as we think of all that is right, good, true, and holy. There is much that is wrong in our world. There is much we can complain about, but there is also so much good to be thankful for. Help us to celebrate and focus on the good. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen
May your day be blessed, friends!
