Daily Prayer For December 10, 2020
on Sat Dec 12, 2020 10:24 pm
Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…
Dear Lord,
We lift up to you today, all who are ill. During this time of year, there are so many viruses going around. This year we are dealing with covid too. So many are ill and struggling with their health right now. Some entire families are all very ill at the same time, and you know how hard it is to take care of children or help other family members who are sick when you are just as ill yourself. Lord, we ask you to please lay your healing hand on each person and each family in need.
We know many praying with us have chronic health issues. Stress, lack of sleep, change in temperature, and other things that come with this time of year exacerbate all they deal with. Please, help each one to have the strength and energy they need. Please alleviate their pain. Help all who are having trouble sleeping to find the rest they need. For all who are not sleeping well because they cannot shut off their minds at night, we ask that they would feel your peace and find rest from their worries and cares. We ask for all who are grieving and sad that they would feel your comfort and nearness. Please send help to all who are struggling to cope with loneliness, shutdowns, restrictions, and changes that have been thrust upon us.
During times of physical, emotional, and mental struggles, we realize what we often take for granted. We don’t appreciate pain-free days until we live with pain. We don’t appreciate good health until it’s a struggle to feel good. We take for granted how precious and vital a good night’s sleep is until we face sleepless nights. When things are good, we forget what a blessing it is to not struggle with things like worry, sadness, anxiety, and financial problems. Please forgive us for the things we have taken for granted. Help us to learn to be grateful for all that we have and to become more aware of the little comforts and blessings that you send us. Help us treasure each day for the gift that it is. Thank you for all the ways you bless our lives. Thank you for walking with us and seeing us through the difficult challenges we face. We all have times where we look back, and we don’t know how we survived what we went through. At the time, it’s hard to see, but looking back, we recognize it is your grace, your strength, and your mercy that enabled us to do what we could never have done on our own.
Lord, we thank you in advance for the provision for our needs, your grace that will see us through, and your mercies that are new each day. We thank you most of all for our Savior Jesus, in whose name we pray. Amen.
May the Lord bless you and make His face shine upon you, friends!
