Daily Prayer For December 5, 2020

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
Thank you for another day to live. Thank you for another day to spread the message of your amazing grace to those who are lost. Thank you for another day to draw closer to you. Thank you for another day to pray for our world’s needs and for our family and friends.
We look to you this day, Lord. We ask to feel your comforting presence. We ask for your energizing touch to be upon us, for mental clarity, and for your wisdom and discernment. Please guide our steps and keep us close to you. The enemy tries to distract us and discourage us any way he can. He bombards our minds with useless questions and troubling thoughts. He wants us to waste precious time stressing out and getting worked up about things we can’t change or things that have yet to happen. Help us to guard our minds and to see things with your eyes and from your perspective. Help us let go of the minor irritations we encounter, so they don’t ruin our whole day. Please help us in our continuing battle to learn to take our thoughts captive.
Please help us to live this day to the fullest and to take time to really appreciate all that we celebrate this season. We have so much to be thankful for. May the remaining days of this month and year make us really pause and reflect on what’s important and drive us closer to you. Help us to run our race with our eye on the prize and with your endurance. Please go before us today and order our day. We give you praise, glory, and honor and thank you in advance for all you will do on our behalf. May your joy fill our hearts and be our strength. In the name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.
