Daily Prayer For December 3, 2020
on Tue Dec 08, 2020 8:43 pm
Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
Thank you for this new day and another chance to join together in prayer. Your Word says that your eyes are upon those who fear you and those who hope in your unfailing love. You are our hope and shield, and we rejoice and give you praise for all you are and all you do. Your Word says you are clothed in splendor and majesty. You wrap yourself in light as a garment, and you stretch out the heavens like a tent. You make the clouds your chariot and ride on the wings of the wind. You made the moon to mark the seasons and the sun to know when to go down. You spoke the heavens into existence, and by the breath of your mouth, the stars were made.
There is none like you, Lord… and You, the Creator of All, stepped down from your throne, set aside your robe of light, to wrap yourself in human skin to save us from sin. You, who are perfect in all of your ways, humbled yourself to become the sacrificial lamb that was slain on our behalf. Our sins are as scarlet, but you have made them white as snow. You didn’t just dismiss our sin; you assumed our sin and sentenced yourself to die in our place. You did what we could not do for ourselves and clothe us in your righteousness. Thank you, Lord, for your incredible, indescribable gifts. Thank you for all you have given us and for what you have made possible for us.
As we go about our days, help us to remember these incredible truths. For those who don’t feel like celebrating the holidays, may they shift their focus to celebrate you and all you are and all you’ve done. If we never received another thing in this life, we have already received so much from your hand. We often get so caught up in just living life that we gloss over and forget what a wondrous thing it is to be redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. We forget all that was sacrificed to save us. To think that we are not only made clean and righteous, but we are also now called your sons and daughters and heirs to your kingdom is beyond comprehension. Thank you is so inadequate…words are so inadequate…but at this moment, we bow before you and thank you for saving us and for making a way for us. Thank you for our Savior, Immanuel, who is always with us and prays and advocates for us. We thank you for your amazing grace and mercy. We thank you for your sacrificial, unconditional love. We are grateful that we can come to your throne of grace and pray in the name of our Messiah and Savior, Jesus. Amen.
May you and your day be filled with His joy and peace, friends!
