Daily Prayer For November 23, 2020
on Mon Nov 23, 2020 9:03 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
The holidays can be such a hard time for so many. This year will be especially difficult, with lockdowns, shutdowns, and restrictions keeping people apart. As we come together today, we lift up to you all who feel alone, sad, depressed or like they don’t have much to celebrate or be thankful for. We pray for all who are grieving or heavyhearted missing loved ones. We pray for all who are ill or have loved ones who are ill. We join our voices and lift up all who are in dire straights financially and all who are dealing with multiple losses and problems at once. You are the God of all comfort and compassion. Our tears are precious to you. Your Word says you keep track of our tears and collect them. Jesus was a man of sorrows and was well acquainted with grief. He wept. He feels what we feel. He understands what we deal with, and all we go through. We are grateful for your compassion, nearness, and faithfulness, especially during difficult times. We thank you for the assurance that Jesus is with us and will not forsake us, and this is just the dark before the dawn. We are grateful that there is coming a day when there will be no more goodbyes, death, illness, losses, grief, financial struggles, tears, or pain. We are looking forward to that day when we will see Jesus face to face, and all the hard things of this life will have passed away.
Please go before us this week and wrap your arms around all who are having a hard time. Please send angels, resources, opportunities, provision, and fellowship to those in need. Sometimes we don’t feel like worshipping or being thankful, but praising you and counting our blessings are doorways to your presence, peace, and comfort. May your Holy Spirit help us to offer up a sacrifice of praise on the hard days.
Thank you for all you do and all that you are. We dedicate this week to you and ask you to work in us and through us. May we be a source of comfort, encouragement, and hope to those who are hurting. In the name of Jesus, we ask these things. Amen
May you feel His comfort and nearness this week, friends!
