Daily Prayer For November 12, 2020 Empty Daily Prayer For November 12, 2020

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for this day and another chance to come together in prayer. Today we lift up to you the people in the storm-battered Philippines who are once again dealing with a typhoon that has brought massive flooding to already waterlogged areas. You know that almost 2 million people are without power, hundreds of thousands of homes have been destroyed, and thousands upon thousands have been displaced. Many remain on rooftops and need to be rescued. Please calm the winds and rain and recede and dry up the water from the floods. We know you can speak peace to these storms. There are so many in need who have lost everything and are displaced in the midst of these pounding storms. Many are waiting to hear if their loved ones are safe. Father, you see each person who is impacted. You know their names. You know what they need and how to provide for those needs. Please give strength, energy, and resources to all of the emergency workers and first responders. We pray that people will look to you and find you to be their source of hope, strength, comfort, provision, peace, and restoration in the midst of such terrifying and overwhelming circumstances.

We also lift up all in Florida who are in the path of Tropical Storm Eta. We are grateful that it has been downgraded from a hurricane. Thank you for that mercy. We know many are still in danger from storm surges and flooding. We ask that you would continue to calm the winds and waves. May people who are in its path find your protection, comfort, and peace to replace their anxious, worried thoughts.

We also pray for all who are still trying to recover from natural disasters. So many are dealing with the aftermath of fires, tornadoes, floods, earthquakes, and storms. The news always moves on to the next story while people are still trying to pick up the pieces of their lives. Trying to recover in the midst of a pandemic only makes moving forward that much more difficult.

Father, we know you are the God who sees. You see and know about the distressing and heartbreaking situations that each of us deals with…whether its natural disasters…health issues…grief and loss…financial stresses and strains…fears and worries about the future…concerns about friends and loved ones…strained and fractured relationships…all that concerns our spiritual lives, and our freedoms, countries, and the world.

We continue to humble ourselves before you and do as you’ve commanded us to do…to rejoice always, seek your will and your face, pray persistently and without ceasing, to be anxious for nothing, and to give thanks in all things. We praise you for who you are. We thank you for all you’ve done, and we thank you in advance for all you will continue to do. We are grateful that you hear our prayers, and we commit all of our burdens, cares, and things that weigh heavy on our hearts to your hands. Thank you for our Savior Jesus in whose name we ask these things. Amen.

May the Lord bless you abundantly, friends!
