Daily Prayer For November 8, 2020 Empty Daily Prayer For November 8, 2020

on Sun Nov 08, 2020 8:31 pm
Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for allowing us to see a new day. Before we go any further today, we surrender our will and commit to you all of our needs and everything that weighs heavy on our hearts. Help us to remember that your ways are not our ways. Sometimes you are working greater miracles than what we have asked for or are expecting. Jesus didn’t go heal Lazarus when he learned he was ill. He waited to go to him, so He could raise him from the dead. You didn’t rescue Daniel before he went into the lion’s den; you closed the lions’ mouths so people could not deny a miracle had happened. You didn’t spare Shadrach, Meschack, or Abednego from going into the fiery furnace, but you did the greater miracle and kept them from being burned. You didn’t stop the apostle John from being put into a pot of boiling oil, but you did a miracle, and he survived what no man could naturally survive. You led your children to end up at the Red Sea. They thought there was no way out for them, but you made a way through.

Your Word is full of stories that give us hope, encourage us, and show us that you do not think as we do. Your ways are so above our own. You see everything from beginning to end, where we can only see things from our limited view. Help us to trust your heart when we can’t trace your hand or understand your plan. Help us remember that you only have our best interests at heart, and delays are not denials. Sometimes delays are a way of protecting us from greater harm. You don’t usually take us on the quickest or shortest routes as you lead and guide us. You are never in a hurry, but you are never late and always on time, and everything you do, you do well.

Everything that is happening in our personal lives, and all that is happening to us as a nation has been allowed for a reason. Help us find rest in you as we wait for the answers to our prayers. Help us do as you’ve instructed us to do…to pray without ceasing and cease striving and know that you are God. You tell us to be brave, strong, and courageous because you are with us wherever we go. You tell us that you hear the prayers of the righteous. You tell us not to be anxious about our lives, what we will eat, drink or wear. You tell us to not worry about tomorrow. You tell us to be anxious about nothing but to pray about everything.

Father, whatever you tell us to do, we know it must be possible to achieve…perhaps not in our own strength, but with your help. We ask for your help to do all of these things that we find so difficult to do. Thank you in advance for all you will do. We are grateful for our Savior Jesus in whose name we ask these things.

Blessings be upon you, friends!
