Daily Prayer For November 2, 2020 Empty Daily Prayer For November 2, 2020

on Thu Nov 05, 2020 7:22 pm
Hello, Friends! I felt led to repost this prayer today. May it bring you comfort…

Dear Heavenly Father,

The Bible says that you, our God, are in our midst. You are the warrior who saves. You delight in us and rejoice over us with joy-filled songs. You quiet our fears with your love. When we read those words in the Bible, we can picture a parent sitting beside their child at night, singing them to sleep…comforting them and soothing their fears… drying their tears, speaking gentle words of assurance, so their last thoughts as they drift off will be the soothing sounds of a parent who loves and cares for them and is beside them to watch over them.

Children never know the many nights a parent sits in the dark, gazing lovingly at them, just watching them breathe. They don’t know about all the times a parent has rubbed their back and whispered tenderly in the dark, “it’s okay, I’m here.” We can’t begin to count all the times we’ve wiped away our children’s tears and reassured them that everything is going to be okay, and you do the same for us.

Father, at this moment, may we be moved when we picture you sitting beside us, singing over us, and reminding us that all is well because you are near, we are loved, and we are under your watchful eye. We are grateful that we can go about our day and go to sleep at night without fear or worry because you are with us, and you never sleep or slumber. Our struggles, heartaches, losses, and pain will never have the last word over us when we remember that you are our Abba Father.

We see so clearly the enemy is at work. Spiritual battles are all around. At times we don’t hear your voice as loudly and clearly as we would like, but whether we can feel you or see signs of your nearness, you promise that you are always there whispering your words of love and encouragement over us. You are always there as the fierce warrior, protecting His children. You are our wise Father who always knows what to do in every situation, and you promise to be an ever-present source of help to us.

When we feel overwhelmed, anxious, distraught, or discouraged, may we be reminded that you are near. May we be mindful this week that Jesus is sitting at your right hand interceding for us. Remind us to speak encouragement to ourselves with these words and truths. We love you, Father. Thank you for all you do for us and all that you are. With gratitude for the many ways you bless us and care for us, we ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen

~Hope For The Brokenhearted
