Daily Prayer For October 29, 2020
on Fri Oct 30, 2020 6:18 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
We ask that you would quiet our hearts today. Help us to be still before you. There is so much going on in the world and our lives that is distressing. Help us to cast off the negativity that is so prevalent during this contentious time. Help us remember that you are on the throne today, and Jesus is King, no matter who president. No one can thwart your plans, and the gates of h**l will never prevail against you. Help us to be anxious for anything. Help us think about pure, right, true, and holy things that we might have your peace.
Lord, for all who are feeling burnt out, stressed out, and in need of a break, we ask that you would help each one find refreshment for body, mind, and spirit. May all who are feeling drained by grief, loss, and depression…all who are weary from illness and disability…all who are just so tired they can’t even remember what it feels like to not be tired…may everyone reading this feel your Spirit cover them like a warm blanket on a cold night. May their bodies relax, and may they feel any tension fade away. Please heal and restore as only you can. Lead us to green pastures and beside still waters today. When we lay down at night, help us to forget the cares of the day and all the things that weigh so heavily upon us. We ask for deep, sound refreshing sleep so we can function well. Lord, please give us wisdom and insight on things we can do to help ourselves. Teach us how to do our best and then let go of the rest. Help us to patiently trust you to do what we are unable to do for ourselves.
Help us to find your strength, joy, and peace that is beyond our own. Help us to seek you constantly as our counselor, guide, and companion. Help us to find rest in your presence. Give us more of Jesus, so every day there is less of us and more of Him. Have your way in our lives, Lord. Thank you for the hope we have in you. We are grateful that you are working out your plans and purposes in our lives, whether we can see it or feel it. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen
Blessings be upon you, friends!
