Daily Prayer For October 21, 2020
on Thu Oct 22, 2020 5:55 pm
Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
Please help us to walk wisely in your ways. It is written that fools hate knowledge, and they despise wisdom and instruction…that they take no pleasure in learning, only in sharing their opinions. We’re told that the foolish give full vent of their feelings, but the wise quietly hold back. A fool’s mouth is his ruin, and his lips are a snare to his soul. You tell us that a wise person is cautious and turns away from evil, but a fool is reckless and careless.
Please help us to not be foolish in any of our ways. Please grant us your wisdom, knowledge, and discernment so we can be more like Jesus. Please guide us in your ways and truth. May our thoughts be pure and in submission to you and your will. You tell us to be watchful and on guard because our adversary is always watching and waiting. He knows when we are weak, weary, and vulnerable. He sends people and situations to test us, tempt us, and to stress us. Help us to be perceptive and intuitive.
Please help us to be wise with the people we surround ourselves with, with the conversations we engage in, and with the things that we allow to consume our thoughts, time, and attention. May we be consumed by your love…by your Spirit…with Your Word and truth. Help us not to be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of our minds. May we know your will and what is good, acceptable, and perfect in your eyes. We know we cannot be perfect despite our best efforts, and we will fall and fail. Please help us to keep rising when we fall and to not get discouraged. Help us to keep running the race before us with patience, endurance, and hope in our hearts. Thank you for your grace. Thank you for the work you are doing in us and through us. We are not where we want to be, but we are thankful that we are not where we once were. Please guard our hearts and minds today and fill us with your peace. We are grateful that we can ask these things in the name of our Savior Jesus. Amen
Blessings be upon you, friends!
