Daily Prayer For October 13, 2020
on Thu Oct 15, 2020 6:54 pm
Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…
Dear Lord,
As we come together today, we just want to thank you for seeing what we don’t see in ourselves. We thank you for transforming us and making us into all the things that we are not. You make us strong when we are weak. You make us fearless, courageous, and bold in your power and might. You transform our weaknesses into strengths.
You took Moses, who was slow of speech and tongue and used him to lead and be your voice to your people. You took Simon Peter, who was impulsive and fearful to the point of denying Jesus three times and made him the rock on which you built your church. You took simple fishermen to transform the world by spreading the good news of the gospel. Instead of a queen or a princess, you chose a young virtuous girl to be the mother of Jesus. Your ways are not our ways. Your thoughts are above ours. You take the foolish things of the world to shame the wise and weak things to shame the powerful. You are not limited by our limitations. You accept us as we are, but you know what we can become through your power and Spirit within us. Every day you are molding us and making us into what we’re not yet.
The world values beauty, power, and riches. What you value is vastly different. Please help us to let go of the negative words that others have spoken over us. Help us to cast aside the self-limiting things we tell ourselves. In your economy, we are never too old, too young, too far gone, too broken, too late, or too anything at all. We are not defined by what others say, but by what you say. We are not defined by our past or our mistakes. We are defined by who we are in Christ. As long as we have breath, we have a purpose. Every day you give us is another day you are using to transform and make us into what we are not yet. Help us to be willing to be bold and courageous, so we can say, “Here I am, Lord, use me…make me into what you know I can be.”
Help us to speak life-giving words and encouragement to ourselves and to others. Help us pray big, bold prayers and believe you can work mightily in us and through us to do miracles for your kingdom and glory. All it takes is one moment for you to open doors and change destiny. In one day, you took Joseph from prison to a palace. Anything and everything is possible in a life that is yielded to you. Thank you for redeeming what the enemy has meant for harm. Thank you for working all things together for good. Thank you for the work you are doing in each of us to make us more like Jesus. It’s in Jesus’ name we ask these things. Amen.
Praying and believing with you for the miraculous, friends!
