Daily Prayer For October 5, 2020
on Wed Oct 07, 2020 8:00 pm
Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
Thank you for this new day and week. We are grateful that you have promised us strength that is equal to our days. Your Word assures us that your eyes search throughout the world to strengthen those whose hearts are committed to you. It is a comfort to know that we have your assurance that you will provide the strength needed to endure and overcome no matter what we face in this life. Help us to absorb these promises and assurances and claim and speak them every day when we arise. When we feel overwhelmed and weary, may your Holy Spirit remind us of these truths. We are able because you who have promised are faithful.
Thank you for your joy, which is our strength. Thank you for your promise to gather us like lambs in your arms and to carry us close to your heart. You have given us so many word pictures to comfort us, encourage us, and equip us to carry out everything you’ve assigned to us. May we allow your words to speak life, truth, and peace to us. Things may be changing in our world, but you never change. You will fulfill every word you have spoken. We are grateful that Christ is the solid rock on which we stand. We are thankful to be your children and to be under your watchful eye and care.
It’s so sad that so many reject all that you offer. We pray for our friends and family who don’t know you. We pray for the lost souls we see who are so full of hate and consumed by all that is wrong that they can’t see the light, beauty, or blessings surrounding them. We pray that people’s hearts will be softened, and their eyes opened so they can see the truth of who you are and receive the good news of the gospel.
Please use us this week to comfort others with the same comfort that you’ve given us. Help us to be all that you’ve created us to be. Help us to rise each day with your hope and purpose in our hearts. Please order our days and help us to carry out all that you want us to do. May we be the reason others smile. May people see you in us and be drawn to you. Please fill us with your Spirit and lead and guide us this week. We ask you to make roadways in the wilderness and streams in the desert. Make a way where there seems to be no way for the difficult situations we, and those we love, face. Thank you in advance for all you will do. May we serve you well. In the name of Jesus, we ask these things. Amen
May you have a blessed day and week, friends!
