Daily Prayer For October 4, 2020 Empty Daily Prayer For October 4, 2020

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

Thank you for allowing us to see another day of life. We thank you for all the beauty that exists in our world. Help us to take the time to appreciate all you’ve given us. Remind us to take time to smell the flowers…to view a sunrise or sunset…to gaze up at the wonders in the night sky…to take in your amazing creativity and all you’ve given us to enjoy. Much is wrong in our world because of sin, but there is more that is right and wonderful because you have created all things. It is hard to imagine the beauty that awaits us when we see the glorious things this world contains. Our wildest dreams can’t begin to imagine all you have gone to prepare for those who love you.

Help us to seek out and look for the good. Help us to encourage ourselves and others by remembering the mighty works of your hands. Help us be like children who are filled with awe and wonder over your magnificent creations and creatures. There are so many truly wondrous things in this world that we don’t take time to appreciate. Just gazing at scenic pictures can fill us with a sense of peace and calm. Watching fish swim, or puppies play, is proven to lower blood pressure. Walking in the grass brings wonderful health benefits. We can do so much to help lift our spirits every day of our lives just by taking pleasure in simple moments and things. Please give us a fresh perspective on life and our circumstances.

This year you’ve taught us how much we have taken for granted. May we never forget what a joy it is to hug and sit and talk with those we love…or what a wonderful thing it is to be able to go anywhere we choose…to breathe in the fresh air… and what a privilege it is to gather at church and sing your praises. Please help us to not lose sight of the lessons you’ve taught us. One year ago, it wouldn’t have occurred to many of us to be thankful for toilet paper or for the ability to be able to work, or to go to school. Thank you for the gift of gratitude that is unearthed through adversity. Help us to rejoice and be glad this day and every day we have left. Life is hard, but you are so good. Better days are ahead, but there is still joy and beauty to be found in the here and now. Help us to seize upon all that is good, so we can help ourselves, and so we can spread your joy, love, peace, and light to those around us. Thank you for the many ways you bless our lives. We give you all praise, glory, and honor. In Jesus’, name we pray. Amen

May His joy fill your hearts!
