Daily Prayer For September 12, 2020 Empty Daily Prayer For September 12, 2020

on Sun Sep 13, 2020 8:17 pm
Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

As we gather together today, we pray for all who are feeling physically, mentally, and emotionally drained. We lift up all who are feeling angry, frustrated, and overwhelmed about things they are helpless to change. We lift to you all who feel empty because of sorrow and grief. This has been a long week filled with many emotional events, and sad news and bad news as so many are impacted by disasters.

We look to you for the comfort and refreshment that only you can give. Please lead us beside still waters and restore our souls. We lay before you all that weighs us down. We ask to exchange our heavy burdens with your light and easy yoke. Please renew our strength and help us to find peace in your presence and renewed hope and strength to face all that is before us.

You tell all who are weary and burdened to come to you, and you will give them rest. Help us to exhale our cares and stress, and breathe in your peace. May we drink deeply from your well of Living Water that never runs dry. May we feast at your table and take in all that you offer us so we might live abundantly in you. Our bodies may fail, our strength may grow weak, we may grow weary, but you are the strength of our hearts and our portion forever. We are yours, and you have promised to hold us and sustain us. We look to you, the lifter of our heads, and we thank you in advance for all you will do.

We thank you that we can come to you, and we don’t have to pretend to be anything we are not. We don’t have to fake that we’re fine when we’re not. We can be honest with you and trust that you understand and know just what we need, and you promise to provide. Help us to picture coming to you to be held and comforted, just as we would go to a parent when we were young children. Please fill our cups to overflowing with your strength and your Holy Spirit and hold us close in your tender embrace.

We are so grateful to be your children. Thank you for loving us so well and for being our refuge, shelter, and safe haven from the world. We look to you, for we know where and who our help comes from. We love you, Father. It’s in Jesus’ name we ask these things. Amen

May you feel His power, strength, and energy coursing through you today, friends!

~Hope For The Brokenhearted
