Daily Prayer For September 8, 2020
on Tue Sep 08, 2020 9:41 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
Today many who are praying with us are tired. They aren’t sleeping well or enough. We ask for all who struggle with sleep to find your strength and energy for all they face today. There are so many causes and reasons for not being able to sleep. You know what is going on with each of us. Please ease the physical and emotional pain, cure insomnia, ease the workloads, help with side effects of medication, and heal other illnesses and disorders that make sleep elusive. We ask you to help those who can’t shut their minds off at night, to learn to turn everything over to you, so they can sleep in peace. Please work in every life and area where it is needed.
Lord, we cry out to you now for your divine help and intervention. Help us to remember that the same power and strength that allowed Jesus to endure everything that led to the cross…that power that allowed Him to defeat death and rise from the grave…that is the same power you offer to us to help us handle all that is before us. It is no small thing to say we can do all things through Christ. We are so grateful that you don’t offer us quick fixes or easy answers…you offer us yourself. Thank you for pouring into us and instilling in us all that we need to not only survive but to thrive in the midst of adversity. Thank you for giving rest to the weary and for lightening the heavy loads of the burdened. Thank you for your grace, strength, and power that are enough for all that we face. Thank you for your peace that passes all understanding. May we grow in faith, as we watch you do in us, what we could never do on our own.
Please fill us with your Holy Spirit. May we be recharged and encouraged as we meditate on your and your word. We are grateful that you have not left us helpless, defenseless, or hopeless. We are grateful that you are beside us and will walk with us every moment of this day. Thank you for our Savior Jesus, in whose name we pray, Amen.
Jesus is with you, friends!
