Daily Prayer For September 7, 2020
on Mon Sep 07, 2020 11:23 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
Your ways are not our ways…your thoughts are above our thoughts. Many people look at the outward appearance, but you look at our hearts. At times we can feel lost and unimportant. We can feel like no one cares and that the things we do don’t matter. Please help us to overcome these things. Help us to become and view ourselves by who you say we are. Help us to overcome the world, so we don’t find our identity based on what we look like, what we do for a living, on our financial status, our social status, our health status, our relationship status, or on our level of education.
You…The Creator of All…love us and care enough about us to send Your Beloved Son to die in our place. Help us to remember that our trials, losses, and disappointments refine us; they don’t define us. Where we see scars, wounds, and reminders of what we’ve been through, you see beauty marks that make us look more like Jesus. Help us to see ourselves, as well as others, through your eyes.
We pray for those who bully, torment, and make fun of others. We lift to you, those who are verbally abusive…those who tear others down to build themselves up. You tell us to pray for those who persecute us…to pray for our enemies, and to be full of compassion, grace, and mercy. Sometimes it’s hard to do that. Help us to forgive and love, and extend the same grace and mercy to others that you show us.
Please help us to do the right things, even if others don’t. We know words can wound, but they can also heal. Sometimes all it takes is a small act of kindness to change a life and give someone hope. Please help us to be the change we want to see. We want to be known as encouragers and people who are full of your lovingkindness. Please bless us, Lord, so we can bless others. Pour yourself into us so we can pour into the lives of others. Help us not to grow hard-hearted or cynical. Help us to have thick skins and soft hearts. Help us to not be easily offended. Please heal our wounds, and help us to hear your voice above all others. We may not be where we’d like to be, but we know you’re not through with us yet. We are grateful that our best days are not behind us, but are before us. We love you and thank you in advance for all you will do in us and through us. In the name of our wonderful Savior Jesus, we pray. Amen
Keep shining brightly for Him, friends!
