Daily Prayer For August 29, 2020
on Sun Aug 30, 2020 8:14 pm
Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…
Dear Heavenly Father,
Your Word says that your eyes search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to you. What an encouragement that is to all who are feeling weak and weary today. We are grateful for your hope-filled promises that we can cling to. We are thankful that your eyes are always upon us…that you never slumber or sleep…that you don’t wait for us to seek you out, but you are always the watchful parent anticipating the needs of his children.
As our enemy is prowling around seeking who he can devour, you, as our shepherd, are watching over us. These are troubling times we are living in. We need your strength every day to face the myriad of challenges before us. We need your strength physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually…but our most urgent need is to be strong in spirit. How grateful we are that you pour into us all we need as we commit ourselves to you.
As our adversary seeks to destabilize our world and us, give us a hunger for your Word, so we find stability and restore our spirits. You tell us to meditate on your Word night and day. You tell us that your Word is our sword to fight back against the enemy. Please prompt us before our feet even hit the floor each morning to suit up with the armor you have provided for us. Tough times will come. Our enemy will rage against us and our world, but you give us what we need to keep going. It is your power, strength, and might that courses through us, and you do not fail. Help us to remember these truths. Help us to remember it doesn’t matter how the tides change or the sands shift. We are safe. We are secure. We are fortified. We are more than conquerors through Christ, who strengthens us.
Thank you for giving us all we need. Help us to view ourselves as you see us. Your Word says as a man thinks, so he is. Help us to see ourselves as strong in your might. Help us to see ourselves as heirs to your kingdom. Help us to see not how far we have to go, but how far we have come. Help us to see ourselves as precious in your sight. Help us to live by your truth and not by how we feel or based on what others say. Thank you, Father…for all you give, for all you do and for all that is to come. In the name of our beloved Savior, Jesus, we pray. Amen
May you have a glorious day in Him, friends!
