Daily Prayer For August 27, 2020 Empty Daily Prayer For August 27, 2020

on Thu Aug 27, 2020 6:58 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

As we gather together today, we lift to you all the things that we are powerless to change… all the storms, hurricanes, fires, and floods. We lift to you all who are full of fear, worry, and anxiety and all who are in harm’s way…

It’s so easy to feel overwhelmed and helpless when things just keep piling up on top of each other…you tell us to pray without ceasing and to seek your face and your strength. You tell us to come boldly to your throne of grace and to keep on praying for your people. You tell us if we are in trouble, that we should pray and seek your face. Father, you see all, you know all, you know our needs before we ask, and you see all who are in trouble…all who are in need…all who are waking up to devastation from hurricanes, storms, floods, fires, riots and loss of loved ones. You know all who are grappling with bad news, losses, and harsh realities…

We join together today to raise our collective voices and ask you to intervene and calm the winds and waves of the storms…we ask you to recede the flooded waters…we ask for miracles of rain and snow where fires are out of control…we ask for strength, energy, and protection for all who are working so hard to protect and serve in the most difficult of circumstances. We ask for miracle provision for all who are homeless, jobless, and the many who have lost everything. We pray for beauty to rise from the ashes. We pray that people will find you to be their source of strength and peace. When we are helpless to change circumstances, you aren’t. We may feel small and powerless against forces of nature, but you aren’t. Please do what only you can do. Our hearts are heavy, and we grieve with those who grieve. We ask for you to pour out your comfort on every hurting heart. Please lead the way and open doors for all who feel lost, adrift, and overwhelmed by their circumstances, losses, and the devastation they face.

We give you all the heavy things that you never intended for us to carry. We pray for your divine intervention, and we ask that people might see you work miracles in the midst of so many losses, tragedies, and trials piled upon trials. May all of the things that we are seeing drive people to you…may they see their need for you…may they find the comfort, shelter, salvation, and hope that is only found in you. Thank you in advance for all you will do. We are grateful that we have a Savior in whose name we can ask all of these things. Amen

May God bless you and keep you and make His face shine upon you!
