Daily Prayer For August 14, 2020 Empty Daily Prayer For August 14, 2020

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

Many who are praying with us today are feeling the effects of all they have been dealing with. Many are finding it hard to eat and sleep. Some feel irritable and on edge. Others are overwhelmed by stress, while others are dealing with physical, mental, or emotional pain, and they feel like they can’t take much more. Lord, we pray for all who are in need today. Please touch each one with your healing hand and fill each one with your peace that defies their circumstances. We are thankful that you are not like the people in our lives who lack patience, empathy, and understanding of what we deal with. It’s so nice to never have to explain to you the depths of our pain, what our needs are, or the impact that our struggles have on us. We are so grateful for your loving-kindness, compassion, and an always-available listening ear. We are grateful that we have an open invitation to come to you so we can find rest and receive the strength, peace, joy, acceptance, hope, and help that we need and long for.
Lord, help us to treat others the way that we want to be treated. Jesus was our example of how to reach out to others to show compassion, love, mercy, and kindness. Help us to love with your love. We pray that we would find the same type of treatment as well.

Please pour out your Spirit upon our land and our world. We thank you for the stories we are starting to hear of areas where revival is breaking out. We pray for our pastors and those in ministry…please strengthen them and protect them. We ask that you would thwart any plans that seek to limit and hinder the sharing of the gospel. We continue to join our voices together and ask you to eradicate this virus so people can go back to work. Please break down the walls of fear that have been built up. We pray for children everywhere that you would bless them, help them, and protect them and their teachers, so they can go back to school. Please put an end to the riots and uprisings and restore law and order. We know with one word, you can calm the winds and waves, and you can calm these uprisings as well. All it takes is faith the size of a mustard seed to move mountains, and we have that, Lord. We know that you can do what we cannot. We humble ourselves before you and thank you in advance for the healing, help, and provision that is coming. In the name of Jesus, we ask these things. Amen

May you have a peace-filled day and weekend!
