Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Many people around the world are dealing with storms, hurricanes, floods, fires, earthquakes, and other natural disasters on top of all the tragedies we are all collectively dealing with. You tell us to pray without ceasing and to seek your face and your strength. You tell us to come boldly to your throne of grace and to keep on praying for your people. So, Father, we lift to you all of the things that we are powerless to change…all of the storms, hurricanes, earthquakes, fires, and floods. We pray for all who are hurting, ill, and in pain. We lift to you all who are full of fear, worry, sadness, and anxiety…all who are facing financial ruin and all who are in harm’s way.

We raise our collective voices and ask you to have mercy and to intervene and calm the winds and waves of the storms. We thank you that Hurricane Isaias is weakening, and we ask that it would continue to do so. We ask you to recede the floodwaters that have formed in many places around the world. We ask for miracles of rain, snow, and provision in areas that are ravaged by famine, drought, high winds, and high temperatures, and fires that are raging out of control. We ask for strength, energy, and protection for all who work so hard and sacrifice so much to protect and serve in the most difficult of circumstances.

We ask for provision for all who are homeless, jobless, and who have lost everything. We pray that hope would prevail and that beauty would rise from the ashes of the bitter trials that so many are enduring. We ask you to please eradicate this virus, restore law and order, restore our economies, heal the ill, comfort the grieving, and make a way where there seems to be no way for all who are needing miracles. We may be helpless to change things, but you aren’t. We may feel small and powerless against forces of nature, and evil, but you aren’t. We look to you, Father, because we know where our help comes from…it comes from you, Our Redeemer and Deliverer. Our hearts are heavy for others, and we are weary from our own struggles and trials, but we know that you will give us the grace and strength we need to face this day and every day to come. We continue to pray for our enemies and those who don’t know you. May your Spirit do a mighty work in the hearts of men and cause a great awakening around the world.

We give you all of our burdens and ask to exchange them for your peace. Please bind our wounds and heal us in body, mind, and spirit. Thank you in advance for all you will do. We give you this day, and all that’s in it, and thank you for giving us another day of life. In the name of our Messiah and Savior, Jesus, we ask these things. Amen.

May you have a blessed and peaceful day, friends!
