Daily Prayer For July 23, 2020
on Thu Jul 23, 2020 7:40 pm
Hello Friends! I feel led to re-post this prayer today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you and lift everyone who is dealing with sadness, grief, and depression. So many people are dealing with multiple things at once, and they just are sad. It’s not that they lack faith or aren’t looking to you…they know that they are only able to endure what they are going through because of your strength within them and your grace that is upon them.
We know we all must endure loss, and the older we get, the more we experience it. You are moved by our tears, and you listen for our cries. The Holy Spirit understands the silent groanings of our hearts. If you are moved when we are hurting, undoubtedly, we will feel the same things when we see others hurting…especially if they are people, we love and care for.
So many things we go through don’t have quick fixes or have easy answers. So many are watching loved ones deal with long drawn out injuries, disabilities, and illnesses. It’s hard to watch those we love suffer and be in pain. It’s so sad to watch people deteriorate and lose bits of themselves and their abilities day by day. We don’t often understand why people must endure what they endure…help us to surrender our questions and find rest in you, the One who has the answers.
Please give all who are struggling, respite from their sadness today. Help each one to see signs of your nearness. Send ministering angels to brighten their day and lighten their load. Please give each person who is hurting, hope for the future, and strength for the day. Bless them and meet their every need, Father, and do what we can’t.
We also pray for all who are ill themselves and all who are dealing with severe symptoms and pain. With one word or one thought, you can do what no doctor can do. We ask for your divine intervention and healing for all in need. May your grace and mercy flow like a river, and your will to be done, not our own. Help us to be strong in your might. We thank you that we can grieve with hope. We are grateful that one day, you will wipe the last tears from our eyes and death, suffering, pain, and loss will be swallowed up in victory. Thank you in advance for answering our prayers. We give thanks for all that is to come. In the name of our Savior Jesus, we pray. Amen
May you be overwhelmed by His love, peace and comfort, friends!
