Daily Prayer For July 21, 2020 Empty Daily Prayer For July 21, 2020

on Tue Jul 21, 2020 8:02 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Our Father,

This year, most of us would admit, it’s a constant battle to take our thoughts captive. When we’re dealing with grief, loss, adversity, and illness, our minds and bodies are already on overload trying to cope and adjust to the myriad of ways those things impact us. It takes extra effort and energy to get through our days and to focus and calm our minds. Dealing with all the chaos that is happening in the world, on top of our personal struggles often leaves us feeling emotionally, mentally, and physically drained.

Please lead us to green pastures and beside still waters today and restore, revive, and renew us in every way that we need it. Help us to find rest in your presence and peace, knowing you are watching over us as a shepherd watches over his sheep. We know that all these struggles are being used to draw us closer to you and to deepen our faith and our dependence on you. We’re trying to keep our eyes on you and not our troubles, but we’re not where we want or need to be in that regard.

Please help us to do better at letting go and letting your Holy Spirit work within us. Please help us so that trusting you becomes our default reaction, instead of doubt or worry. May faith grip us instead of fear. May we become so intuned and bonded with you, that our first response to any sort of trouble would be, “God’s got this,” instead of “what am I going to do?”

Help us to be mindful that you are working in every situation… in every circumstance… in every heartache and in every loss. You’ve seen all of our days before we’ve lived even one. You know precisely how to help us to triumph and overcome. Help us to remember, we are hard-pressed, but not crushed. We are persecuted but not abandoned. We struggle, but we do not fight alone.

Thank you for the provision, healing, and restoration that is coming. May we sense your comfort, compassion, and closeness this day. We are so grateful for our Savior Jesus, in whose name, we pray, Amen.

May God’s promises fill you with peace and comfort!

~Hope For The Brokenhearted
