Daily Prayer For July 19, 2020 Empty Daily Prayer For July 19, 2020

on Tue Jul 21, 2020 7:50 pm
Hello Friends! I’m feeling led to re-post this prayer today…

Dear Lord,

Please help us not to be just hearers of the Word, but doers of the Word as well. Help us to cultivate, grow, and expand our knowledge and wisdom. Help us to apply the things that we’ve learned from your Word to our lives.

Our minds are like gardens…we must watch what we plant because we will reap what we sow. Help us to be diligent, so our minds don’t become overgrown with doubts, fears, worries, cares, and negative thoughts. Please help us to be more motivated and consistent in the things we need to do to help ourselves. Help us to not put off things that are necessary for our spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Help us to be good stewards of our bodies and minds and all you’ve entrusted to us. Help us to be more disciplined and consistent. You promise to give wisdom to all who ask and to lead and guide us. Please help us in the areas where we struggle and feel overwhelmed. You do so much for us, and you are always willing to help us…but there are steps that we must do ourselves…things that we must do that are acts of our will, steps of faith, and take conscious efforts on our part. Help us to be mindful that we are temples of the Holy Spirit. Help us not to be apathetic in any area of our lives, but especially when it comes to spiritual matters. Help us to be concerned about the things that concern you.

Help us to be mindful and observant, like the maidens waiting for the bridegroom. Help us not to waste our days on things that have little value. The older we get, the more we are aware of how quickly life passes. We can’t change the past…we can’t make up for lost time…but we can do better now. Every little step we take to help ourselves adds up… and slow, small steps are better than taking no steps at all.

Please fill us, inspire us, lead us, and teach us. We thank you for equipping us with your grace, strength, and power. We are grateful that we have victory through Jesus and that all things are possible through Him. May we become more like Jesus with each passing day. It’s in our Savior’s name, we ask these things. Amen

May you have a blessed day, friends!

~Hope For The Brokenhearted
