Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We read in your Word of how Elijah prayed, and it didn’t rain for three years, then he prayed again for rain, and you answered that prayer. We are told how Elijah prayed for you to show your power in front of the followers of Baal, and you did. The Bible says that Joshua prayed for the earth to stand still, and it did. The Scriptures tell us that the faithful, fervent prayers of a righteous person does much good. We are instructed to pray continually and to bring our petitions to you with a thankful heart. We are to devote ourselves to prayer and be thankful, joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer. The Bible says you are near to all who call on you in truth. We are to confess our sins to each other and to pray for each other so we might be healed. When we come to you and ask, we must believe and not doubt.

Father, help us to do all of the things that you instruct us to do. Help us to grow stronger, wiser, and more faith-filled with each passing day. We’ve read and heard of the miraculous things that a person who has faith in you can do. Please fill us and use us for your glory and kingdom. It’s not our words that matter when we pray…it’s the attitude of our heart towards you that’s important. We must be willing to step out in faith, be obedient, humble, and contrite in our spirits. Please forgive us of our sins and help us to be right before you, so our prayers aren’t hindered.

Help us to put you in the rightful place in our hearts and homes. May we be unafraid to pray big and bold prayers like Elijah and Joshua. Help us to trust without doubt, that what is your will, you will bring to pass. You tell us when we ask, you will show us great and mighty things that we don’t yet know. Help us to be open to all you want to do in us and through us. Please reveal yourself to us.

With all that in mind, Father, we pray for the eradication of Covid-19. We pray that the surge would stop. We pray for healing and recovery for all who have it. We pray that children could go back to school and people back to work with no limitations. We ask you to show yourself in the midst of our world and defy the experts, doctors, and leaders and show yourself as The Great Physician and The Lord God Almighty. May there be no doubt who controls our world. Please heal our countries and economies. Please stop all of the anarchy and destruction. Only you can change the hearts of men. Please do what we can’t, Father.

We are grateful for all you do, and all that you are. Thank you in advance for all that is to come. It’s in our beloved Savior Jesus’ name that we pray. Amen

May you have a blessed weekend, friends!
