Daily Prayer For June 28, 2020 Empty Daily Prayer For June 28, 2020

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Our Father,

Thank you for the privilege of gathering together in prayer again today.  At this moment, help us to be still before you and shut out any distractions that surround us. Help us to hear your voice speaking to us to lay down our burdens and cares…to lay down our pain, our disappointments, our guilt, and our shame. You want us to lay everything painful, hard, and ugly at the foot of the cross. We confess, Father, sometimes we just don’t know what to do to release these things to you and not take them back. Jesus died to set us free. He died to break every chain. Please help us to nail to the cross everything that steals our joy, haunts our dreams, and occupies our thoughts. Help us to let go of the things that we weren’t meant to carry so we can make room for more of you and all the blessings you long to give us.

Help us to picture Jesus clothing us in His robes of righteousness and His blood, making us pure, holy, and whole. You don’t want our hearts to be just wholly yours, you want our hearts to be made whole. It’s for our tears that Jesus died. You are the lifter of our heads and the healer of our hearts. While the troubles of life scream at us, You kneel down and tenderly speak our names and tell us we are loved. You promise you’ll restore us. You speak words of comfort, love, and encouragement to us. Help us to hear your voice this day, Father. Help us to remember that Jesus has gone to prepare a place for us, just as a bridegroom prepares for his bride. Better days are coming. Soon, and very soon, we are going to see our King, and all of the troubles and heartache of this world will disappear faster than the twinkling of an eye.

Help us to find peaceful rest in your presence today. May your Holy Spirit breathe new life into us. May your Living Water spring up in the dry, barren places in our hearts. May our roots grow deep into you, Your Word, and your Living Water that never runs dry. May we be refreshed and revived as we spend time with you. We love you, Father, and we humbly ask these things in the name of our precious Savior, Jesus. Amen

May your hearts be at peace today.

~Hope For The Brokenhearted
