Daily Prayer For June 13, 2020 Empty Daily Prayer For June 13, 2020

on Mon Jun 15, 2020 7:02 pm
Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

As we gather together today, we lift up all who are dealing with hurtful, damaging, or difficult relationships. Many have people in their lives who are like Job’s friends…people who don’t understand what they are going through or dealing with, yet they speak as though they have all the answers. Many are dealing with people who are quick to judge and make false assumptions. Some are dealing with people who won’t acknowledge any viewpoint but their own, while others refuse to hear the truth or admit they are wrong. Please help us to respond like Jesus would in these hurtful, distressing, and frustrating situations. Sometimes people are well-intentioned, but they say and do hurtful things that compound our pain, grief, losses, and distress. Please help us to show the same grace to others that you show to us. Please help us to forgive as Jesus forgives. Help us to focus more on you our Healer, instead of those who hurt us.

Please help us to rise above and not allow the words and actions of others to rob us of our peace, or make us bitter and angry. Help us to learn how to erect healthy boundaries and guard our hearts and minds with your truth. Help us to surrender our pain to you so you can transform it and heal us. We are grateful that you give us the ability to choose our thoughts and to choose who and what we allow to be our inner voice. Help us so we don’t allow anyone or anything to take a higher priority or place in our lives than you. Help us to take to heart what you say more than what anyone else says.

Thank you for going before us and for standing beside us in all that we face. Help us to do our best and then leave everything and everyone else to your hands. We are grateful you know our thoughts and intentions even when others don’t. Help us to be content with the fact that you know the truth of every situation. It’s natural to want to be vindicated, to receive an apology, and to have the truth acknowledged, but some things we just won’t hear or see this side of heaven. Please help us to accept what we can’t change. Please help us to find our identity and sense of self in what you think and say about us. May our hearts be filled with your peace and our minds be at rest as we look to you for help. We humbly ask these things in the name of Jesus. Amen

May you have a blessed day, friends!
