Daily Prayer For June 4, 2020 Empty Daily Prayer For June 4, 2020

on Fri Jun 05, 2020 2:31 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

You tell us when we are weary and heavy-laden to come to you, and you will give us rest. Father, we admit we’re drained. There is so much that is going on. The things we see and hear are disheartening. There just seems to be layer upon layer of things to be sad and concerned about. The cacophony of voices that surround us is deafening…

Please help us to hear your voice above all others. It’s hard to pour out from an empty cup. Please fill us with your peace. Help us to keep our eyes on you and not the chaos that surrounds us. Help us to meditate on your Word night and day, and to cling to your promises. Help us to turn over to you all the things that vie to steal our peace and joy. Help us to remember to put on our spiritual armor before our feet hit the floor. We are battle-weary, Father. We’ve been fighting battles on so many fronts…you know, you see, you hear…please help us to rise up with wings like eagles. Renew a right spirit within us. Please revive, restore, and replenish all that has been drained from us. Refresh us, Father, as only you can. Help us to remember that our Savior is alive in us. What we can’t do on our own we can do through Jesus. Help us to trust in what you say and not what we feel.

Please work in us and through us. Help us to spread hope and encouragement. Help us to be agents of goodness, kindness, and compassion. May the things we post on social media bring encouragement and hope to others and point the way to you. There has never been an age like we are living in… a time where our words and actions have the potential to impact so many and so quickly… a time where our actions, words, and deeds can be used as a light to counter the darkness…where a word of encouragement can give someone the strength and hope to hang on for one more day…

Help us to not grow weary in doing well. Help us to remember that we need only do our best, and you will take care of the rest. Open the eyes of the spiritually blind to your truth. Change hearts and minds to be in accordance with your will and ways. Overcome evil with good. Speak peace to this tidal wave of grief, pain, anger, and destruction that is overtaking our world. Your Word says, when the enemy comes in like a flood, your Spirit will lift up a standard against him. Help us to remember that everything you promise will come to pass. We love you, Lord, and we thank you for pouring yourself into us and for being a shield about us. We commit our lives and this day into your hands.
In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen

Praying blessings over you, friends!
