Daily Prayer For May 21, 2020
on Thu May 21, 2020 2:37 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
Not so long ago, we could not have imagined the things that are happening in our world. As we gather together today, we pray for the people in Michigan who are being impacted by catastrophic flooding and the people in Africa and the Middle East whose lands are being ravaged by locusts. It is hard to imagine dealing with so many hard things at once. We don’t even know where to begin to pray for their needs, but we know you know what they need and how to help them, so we ask for your divine intervention.
We are told that we should not be surprised when we see all of the things that are happening, but we should look up knowing that our redemption is drawing near. We know this world is so in need of you…we see it more clearly than we ever have. Please use us, Father, to be a source of hope, love, and encouragement to others. May your Spirit continually prompt us to pray anytime we hear of someone who needs prayer, and when we see or read about situations that require your intervention. May our hearts be so aligned with yours that our hearts are moved by what moves you. May we have a sense of urgency about sharing the good news of the gospel with those who are lost. So many have written with concerns about their loved ones who don’t know you. You know how desperately we long for all of our friends and loved ones to be saved. We continue to ask, seek, and knock on their behalf. We know you love our loved ones even more than we do, and your desire is than none would perish without a saving knowledge of who you are. Help us to keep persevering and persisting in prayer and not grow weary in doing good.
Please touch all who are reading this. May your joy be our strength and your peace fill our hearts. There are so many needs among us. We are grateful that you know them all before we even ask. We commit and trust everything to your hands, and we thank you in advance for the answers and provision that is already on the way. Please go before us today, Father. May we glorify you in all that we say and do. In the name of Jesus, we ask these things. Amen
Keep looking up, friends! He will not fail!
