Daily Prayer For May 19, 2020
on Wed May 20, 2020 7:03 pm
Hello, Friends! I feel led to re-post this prayer today…
Dear Lord,
Help us to see our trials as opportunities to know you better…to know you in new ways…to see your hand at work in our lives. We don’t want to stay stuck in our pain, our grief, and our brokenness. We don’t want to fixate on all the things we don’t have or all we’ve lost. We want to rejoice in all we have been given…we want to see the blessings in the midst of our trials…please help us to do these things, Lord. Help us to remember that this life is just to prepare us for eternity. We grieve, but not as those who have no hope. Our suffering, losses, pain, and trials create an opportunity for you to show yourself in the midst of our lives and circumstances. Help us to look to you with anticipation for all the good you will do as you fulfill your promises and purposes in our lives.
Please help each of us to remember that there is power in your name…there is healing in your name…there is hope in your name. Yours is the name above all names. You are The Bright and Morning Star…Emmanuel, our Savior, our Redeemer, The Prince of Peace, The Way, Truth and Life, and The Light of The World. You are our strength and our song. Though the world may storm and rage around us, may all be calm, peaceful, and bright in our hearts this day. May we be filled with gratitude as we remember all that we have to be thankful for. May we feel our confidence and spirits rise as we remember the many times you have saved us, helped us and answered our prayers in the past. It doesn’t matter who or what comes against us. You are still in control, still doing miracles, still healing, and still hearing each pray and every inaudible sigh. We may grow weary, but we are not defeated. We are not down for the count. We have your Living Water in our hearts and you, our Savior, to light and guide our way. We love you, Lord. Thank you for all you do for us. Please order our day. May our thoughts be consumed with all that is pure, right, true, and holy. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen
May your heart be full of His joy today, friends!
