Daily Prayer For April 18, 2020 Empty Daily Prayer For April 18, 2020

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for this day. We are grateful for your goodness and that we have you to look to in these uncertain times. We ask that you would grant us your wisdom and discernment. We know that you are The One who has the answers to all of the questions that concern us. We are grateful that in times when experts, professionals, and leaders all have differing opinions and advice about the things that affect us, you are The One who has the ultimate knowledge, the whole truth, and the complete picture that others lack. In times of uncertainty, chaos, and confusion, it is a blessing and comfort to know that we can look to you and your Holy Spirit to give us wisdom and guidance.

You promise if we acknowledge you in all of our ways, that you will direct our paths. You tell us when we ask for and seek your wisdom that you will give it generously. The scriptures tell us that the knowledge that comes from heaven is pure, peace-loving, considerate, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, and sincere. We’re told that fools find no pleasure in understanding but delight in airing their own opinions. Help us not to be foolish or deceived. We’re told that wise counsel is good and helpful…help us to be discerning about the advice, and opinions we listen to. Please lead us to sources of wisdom and truth to guide us.

Please help us to be slow to speak and quick to listen. Help us to filter out all the noise and incessant, negative, and conflicting chatter of the world. Please lead us, teach us, and help us to grow in our faith and in your wisdom and knowledge. We are grateful that as we look to you, we can have your peace, no matter what circumstances we find ourselves in.

Father, there is so much that is not right in our world…so much that is upsetting, and that rightfully causes us to feel righteous anger. Help us to pray and trust to your hands the things that we are powerless to change. Help us to be like eagles and rise above the storms of negativity and conflict that surround us. Help us to be people who are set apart for your glory. Help us to reflect Jesus and your Spirit that is within us. May people see your light and peace within us and be drawn to you. We thank you in advance for all you will do in us and through us as we seek you and your wisdom. In the precious name of Jesus, we ask these things. Amen

May you have a blessed weekend, friends!
