Daily Prayer For April 17, 2020
on Fri Apr 17, 2020 10:03 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for this new day. As we come together, we lift up to you all who didn’t get refreshing sleep. So many are having trouble sleeping. Many are having bad dreams, while others are finding it difficult to shut their minds off when they lay down. Please pour out your grace, strength, and mercy today. We reach out to touch the hem of your garment to receive from you. We want only what you think is best for us. Help us rise up, and walk forward this day full of trust and faith that you will give us all that we need.
Please forgive us, Father, for the times when we’ve taken you for granted…for the times we didn’t put you first…for the times we didn’t give you the respect and adoration that you deserve…for the times we didn’t trust you as we should or do the things you asked us to do. Help us to do better and be better. Help us not to settle in any area of our lives. Help us to make the most of each day and to treasure our lives as the precious gifts they are. Help us to fulfill the purpose and calling you’ve placed our lives. Help us to live with a “can do” attitude, that is confident not in our own abilities, but in yours which are at work within us. Help us to remember that one faith-filled person can do extraordinary things.
Help us to have a heart that is willing to say “yes” to you when you ask us to do hard things. We want to be all you know we can be and not miss out on any blessings that you have for us. We don’t want to waste our lives on things that don’t matter, or on things that we will regret when we stand before you.
We commit our lives to you, and we lift up our families, friends, our leaders, and our world to you. More than ever, we all need you and your help, strength, wisdom, courage, and provision. Please do a mighty work among us. We come before you with praise in our hearts for who you, and we thank you in advance for all you will do. We are so grateful for our Savior Jesus, in whose name we pray. Amen.
May you have a blessed day and weekend, friends!
