Daily Prayer For April 15, 2020 Empty Daily Prayer For April 15, 2020

on Wed Apr 15, 2020 5:25 pm
Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

As we come together today, we lift up to you all who are dealing with the aftermath of storms, tornadoes, and floods. We lift up the families and people who are dealing with struggles and tragedies that are unrelated to the virus. We pray for all whose sadness and troubles are being exacerbated by the changes that this pandemic has brought.

We ask for your comfort, grace, mercy, and provision for all who are dealing with pain upon pain and troubles upon troubles. You are the God who sees, and we know that you see each one who needs your help and divine intervention. Please send helpers and comforters to those who are in need, and those who have lost everything. You are not limited by our limitations. Your arms are not shortened that they cannot reach us. You are still able to wrap us in your loving embrace and make a way where there seems to be no way.

At times, especially now, many feel alone. When they need comfort and love the most, many are deprived of physical contact with others. May all who are feeling that way, remember Jesus on the cross. Our Savior knows more than anyone, what it is like to feel alone. As he bore the weight of our sin and was separated from you, He cried out the words that have echoed through the ages…”My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?” Our perfect Savior felt more alone and more pain than we will ever feel. Jesus understands our feelings like no one else can. He sees our tears and has compassion for us. He sent the Holy Spirit to comfort us in all of our afflictions.

We often long for human touch, love, and companionship, but what we need more than that is what only you can offer. Only you can fill those empty places and longings within us. Only you fully understand the depths of our pain, suffering, and anguish. Only you can ultimately meet our need for love, acceptance, and companionship. There are many things we long for and desire in this life…may we never lose sight of what we need more than anything is you. We can gain the whole world, but if we don’t have you, everything we have is in vain.

Please help us to be sensitive to your voice and what you try to show us and teach us during our struggles. Help us to remember that you are near, even when we don’t feel you. Faith is more than a feeling. It believes in what is not yet seen and trusts in you, your character, and your promises. May we see our struggles as opportunities to see you work miracles, to know you better, and to draw closer to you. Please use us to comfort others with the same comfort that you give us. In Jesus’ name, we ask these things. Amen.

Praying blessings over each of you!
