Daily Prayer For April 11, 2020 Empty Daily Prayer For April 11, 2020

on Sun Apr 12, 2020 7:05 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

As we reflect on Christ’s death and resurrection, may we gain new insights and learn new spiritual truths. May we see things with fresh eyes and an open heart. We pray that Sunday will find your joy and peace overflowing in our hearts with a renewed sense of hope and purpose. We pray that just as you rose from the grave and threw off the wrappings that bound you, we will rise up and throw off the things that bind us.

Many here are feeling the pressing weight of numbness, grief, despair, and hopelessness. Some feel like everything that was known, and all that was familiar has disappeared. For some, everything has changed, and they don’t know how to begin to pick up the pieces. The thought of starting over is overwhelming. Thoughts of what the future holds after a significant loss are terrifying. Some feel empty, while others are filled with fear, anxiety, and worry. Some feel as though they have lost their sense of purpose and life no longer has any meaning…they question everything, including why they are still here.

Please help those who find themselves in such hard places to remember how hopeless things looked for the disciples after Jesus died, and how everything changed in a matter of days. If you can take the cross and all its ugliness…if you can bring new life, new meaning, new callings, new hope, restoration, and salvation from that horrific, hopeless situation, you can redeem all the enemy meant for harm in our lives as well. You are the God of the miraculous and impossible. No one can stop your plans or what you have ordained. You are the God of Redemption and Restoration. You promise to work ALL things together for good for those who love you. You are the author and creator of comeback stories that defy all odds.

We can only imagine the joy Jesus’ followers must have felt when they saw He was alive and resurrected. Everything changed in an instant for them. Help us to remember when we feel discouraged that Jesus is alive, and our own resurrection day will come one day, where we will trade the corruptible things of this life for the incorruptible. We will be forever free from pain, sorrow, illness, injuries, disabilities, anxiety, fear, worry, loss, death, sin, and tears. As great as those things are, and as much as we look forward to those things, the greater gift is one day we will be with you forever, and we will know the fullness of your joy and peace. We are people of The Promise, and we have hope in all we face because of Jesus. We love you, Lord. We are humbled and grateful for all you made possible for us. We praise you for who you are and all you’ve done. We are thankful for our Savior in whose name we pray. Amen

May your day be richly blessed, friends!
