Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
Today is a solemn day as we think about all our Savior suffered and went through to pay a debt we could never pay. It is an extraordinary thing to know that Christ lived and died solely to make a way for us. You have shown how much you value and treasure each of us by offering up your Precious Son to atone for our sins. There should be no doubt that we are loved and cared for by you. There is no denying Jesus is who He said He was. He is the Messiah who knew no sin, yet came to take upon Himself the weight of our sin. He is The Holy One, who bore our shame so we would never have to be separated from you.
We are so unworthy…yet through Jesus, we can be heirs to your kingdom. We can be made righteous by His blood that was shed for us. All we can say is, “Thank you.” We are so grateful. Thank you for your love. Thank you, Jesus, for enduring the suffering and shame and taking on yourself the chastisement of our sins.
When we are tempted to think that our struggles are too much. When we are at our weakest and believe that we can’t possibly endure any longer. When the enemy is yelling loudly that we are done, and there is no hope…help us remember the cross. If you can take something as hideous and horrible as the cross and Jesus’ death, and bring new life and hope from all that pain and suffering, you can do the same from our trials and struggles. Nothing is too hard for you. Nothing is impossible for you. Help us to remember that Christ’s power is in us, and through Jesus’ sacrifice, we have been made more than conquerors.
The apostles didn’t understand on the day that Christ died all that was yet to come. They couldn’t see the resurrection and new life that was coming. Jesus’s words didn’t make sense to them yet, but a lot can happen in a few days. History can be changed. Lives can be changed. Things that look hopeless can be turned around. When you are in control, anything can happen. Nothing is over until you say it’s over. You have the last word always.
May we carry these truths with us always and write them on the tablets of our hearts. We praise you and worship you and give you all glory and honor that is due to you. We are more grateful than our words can begin to convey for our Savior…our Messiah…the Lamb who was slain to save the world, and in whose name we can pray. Amen!
May you have a blessed day, friends!
