Daily Prayer For April 2, 2020
on Thu Apr 02, 2020 5:02 pm
Hello, Friends! I’m feeling led to re-post this prayer today.…
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the privilege of waking to see another day. Thank you for the opportunity to join in prayer. Today we want to lift to you all of the unsung heroes in our world…the people who are known by you, but are nameless to us…all of the people who work tirelessly and selflessly behind the scenes to help others.
There are more types of help and service than we can possibly name. But, to name a few, we think of those who work to help abused women and rescue trafficked kids. People who clean up in disaster-ravaged areas, volunteer on suicide and domestic abuse hotlines, serve in shelters and soup kitchens, donate their time to give health services in small remote villages, bring food to truckers or groceries to an elderly neighbor. There are so many who just get up each day and see a need and try to be the hands and feet of Jesus to bring hope, relief, comfort, and good news to the hurting in their homes, communities, and where ever you may lead them. They don’t receive accolades or media attention…they just see a need and meet it.
We ask you to pour out your blessings on these compassionate givers, helpers, and heroes, so they can continue to bless others. Please protect all who do the dangerous jobs of serving, rescuing, and protecting others. Please provide financial and other needed resources so they can continue to do their good works and deeds. Please continue to grant them good health, strength, and energy so they can meet the physical challenges they face. We also lift up all who are in ministry. Please put a hedge of protection around them and meet their needs so they can continue to serve you and others. They fight battles on so many levels, and few see all they deal with behind the scenes.
Please place things on our hearts that we should pray for. Give us opportunities to be a source of encouragement to others. Help us to see beyond the obvious. Help us to see beyond our own needs, our own pain, and our own struggles. We are lifted higher by reaching down to help another. It takes so little to make a difference. We will never know this side of heaven the impact of our prayers or kind words and deeds. May everything we do be as unto you this day and every day that we live. May your will be done through us and in us. May our hearts be filled with gratitude and thankfulness, and our minds filled with peace as we think of all that is right, good, true, and holy. There is much that is wrong in our world, but there is also so much good. Help us to celebrate and focus on the good. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen
May your day be blessed, friends!
