Daily Prayer For March 27 2020
on Fri Mar 27, 2020 8:07 pm
Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
Thank you for another day of life. As we wake today, we hear of how the numbers of people with the virus are growing. Today there are many more lives lost, more jobs lost, more people doing without in so many areas and we know that this world needs you more than ever. We hear of all the suffering, and we grieve with those who grieve. May those who are mourning feel your comfort and nearness. There is so much pain around the world, and it can be overwhelming to think about. We are grateful that you are not overwhelmed… that you can handle and do what we can’t.
We pray for all of the doctors, nurses, medical personnel, and all who are dealing with the many dead. Please be their source of strength. Comfort them and protect their emotional, mental, and physical health as they deal with so much trauma, loss, stress, and hardship. We cannot imagine how difficult it must be to have to pick and choose who gets help when there are more people in need than can possibly be helped. We intercede for all who are on the front lines of this crisis, Lord…please be a shield about them and help them endure. Please make a way of provision for all the needed medical equipment to become available to help the sick and to protect the doctors and nurses.
At this moment, we surrender to you all of the things that are out of our control. We give you our sadness and grief, our uncomfortable circumstances, our family and friends, and all of their needs and all of our worries, cares, anxieties, and fears. You tell us to cast our cares upon you, and we are doing that now. We know that regardless of how things look, feel or seem, you are in control, and you promise ALL things will work together for good for those who love you and are called according to your purpose. We know that includes everything we are going through and dealing with now. This is a defining moment in time for our world, for our country, for our churches, for our leaders, for our families, and for each of us. You have created us knowing we would face these challenges. May we come out of this crisis better people whose hearts are right before you.
You know what is best for each of us, for our families, and for every difficult situation, we are facing. We know that you only have our best interests at heart. We trust you, Lord, and we pray that we all feel your peace, as we let go of our will and seek yours. We love you. We praise you. We ask you to go before us this day. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Praying blessings over each of you!
