Daily Prayer For February 15, 2020

Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…
Dear Lord,
We are grateful that you are the same God of the miraculous and impossible that you have always been, and you hold us and our future securely in your hands. At times our pain, lack, and struggles seem like they will never end. Your people who wandered in the wilderness for forty years must have felt that way. They had no place to call home. They had no allies or people rallying to their aid. They had seemingly no form of earthly security or comfort. They were unable to do anything for themselves to improve their circumstances…but, you led them with a pillar of cloud by day and fire by night. You provided their water and food supernaturally. You made their clothes and shoes to last for 40 years. You arranged it, so their feet didn’t swell for those forty years while they were walking so much and living a nomadic existence. When they were surrounded by enemies, you delivered them. They were utterly dependent on you, and you consistently, without fail, were their Provider, Deliverer, Defender, and source of hope.
At times our lives are not comfortable. Our times of struggle last longer than we would like. We often don’t understand what you are doing or why you allow difficult things. We often long for things to be different and better. Help us to learn to trust you and rest in you in our periods of uncertainty and hardship. Help us to know your peace that defies our circumstances. Help us to see you when we don’t see a way through. Help us to see the signs of your nearness that surround us. You promise your grace will see us through ALL things. You promise to provide for ALL of our needs. You promise to work ALL things together for our good. You promise to deliver us from ALL of our fears. You promise we can do ALL things through Christ who gives us strength. You promise ALL things are possible for you.
Your Word says that those who trust and hope in you are blessed…that we will be like a tree planted by water whose roots run deep. When the droughts, winds, and storms come, we can stand firm because our roots are planted in you. You promise to extend peace like a river. When we stand on your promises, we cannot fail or fall. May these truths bring us comfort and fill us with hope. We are thankful for your eye that is upon us and tour Spirit that is with us. We thank you for all you are doing in us and for us. We praise you and give you glory and honor for your faithfulness and greatness.
We look forward to all you will do. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Blessings be upon you, friends!
