Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Faith believes in what is promised, even when it is not yet seen. Abraham was a man of great faith. You asked him to do things that most of us would find beyond difficult to do. You asked him to leave his family and friends, and all that was known and comfortable to go to an unfamiliar land. That paled in comparison to when you asked him to sacrifice his beloved son. When we put ourselves in his shoes, it is hard to imagine the kind of faith that he had in that most gut-wrenching and incomprehensible situation. Abraham trusted you to provide and to keep your promise to give him many descendants. He didn’t know what you were going to do or how you were going to do it. But he submitted to your will, trusted, and obeyed.

Help us to be obedient and willing to step out in faith when you call us to do something uncomfortable and unfamiliar. Help us to be like the heroes of faith that we read about. Many of us find ourselves in unfamiliar situations right now. We have “new normals.” Things are changing, and the changes hurt. We feel the losses. At times we feel scared and uncertain about the future. Letting go of the familiar and known and embracing the unknown is never easy. Help us to be confident that what is unknown to us, is known to you. Help us to grow in these places of change. Help us to trust that you see the bigger picture of our lives. Help us to cling to your promises and have the faith to believe that what you promised, you will bring to pass. You have a very long track record of ensuring that your promises and prophies are fulfilled. Help us to trust like Abraham, that you are who you say you are and you will do, what you’ve said you will do. We don’t know what our future holds, but we know that you hold our future. Help our hearts to be at peace as we look to you to fulfill your plans and purposes in our lives. In the name of our Savior Jesus, we ask these things. Amen

Blessings to you, friends!
