Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We read in your Word of how Elijah prayed, and it didn’t rain for three years, then he prayed again for rain, and you answered that prayer. We are told how Elijah prayed for you to show your power in front of the followers of Baal, and you did. The Bible says that Joshua prayed for the earth to stand still, and it did. The Scriptures tell us that the faithful, fervent prayers of a righteous person does much good. We are instructed to pray continually and to bring our petitions to you with a thankful heart. We are to devote ourselves to prayer and be thankful, joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer. The Bible says you are near to all who call on you in truth, and when two or three gather in your name, you are in our midst. We are to confess our sins to each other and to pray for each other so we might be healed. When we come to you and ask, we must believe and not doubt.

Father, help us to do all of the things that you instruct us to do. Help us to grow stronger, wiser, and more faith-filled with each passing day. We’ve read and heard of the miraculous things that a person who has faith in you can do. Please fill us and use us for your glory and kingdom. Remind us, it’s not our words that matter when we pray…it’s the attitude of our heart towards you that’s important. We must be willing to step out in faith, be obedient, humble, and contrite in our spirits. Please forgive us of our sins and help us to be right before you, so our prayers aren’t hindered.

Help us to put you in the rightful place in our hearts and homes. May we be unafraid to pray big and bold prayers like Elijah and Joshua. Help us to trust without doubt, that what you will, you will bring to pass. You tell us when we ask that you will show us great and mighty things that we don’t know about. Help us to be open to all you want to do in us and through us. Please reveal yourself to us in ways that we don’t know.

Help us to see ourselves as you see us…beloved heirs to your kingdom who have a hope-filled future ordained by you. We are grateful for all you do, for all that you are and for our beloved Savior in whose name we can pray. Amen

Blessings be upon you, friends!

~Hope For The Brokenhearted
