Daily Prayer For January 23, 2020 Empty Daily Prayer For January 23, 2020

on Fri Jan 24, 2020 12:04 am
Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

Help us to live in the “now” of this day. We put off so much while we wait for “someday” to come. We put things off until our finances are better, or until we’ve lost weight. We wait to do things until we’re less tired…the kids are grown or the timing is better…but for many, for various reasons, “someday” never comes. We end up squandering opportunities in the here and now. We end up missing out on blessings, special moments, and things that are in front of us that we can never get back because we are waiting for something better to come along. Teach us to number and treasure our days. Show us how to dance in the rain and enjoy what is, instead of waiting for better days to come.

Everything we do now has ripple effects throughout eternity. Help us to rise above our feelings, emotions, and circumstances. Help us to be flexible and open to the leading and promptings of your Holy Spirit. Help us to be more willing to say “yes,” instead of giving excuses for why we “can’t.” Keep us focused on the essential things in this life and the life to come. May our priorities, dreams, desires, and our will be in alignment with yours. Help us to trust you more and to be willing to go where you lead us. We don’t want to look back with regret or miss out on blessings that you have for us.

Lord, we give you our fears, our pain, our grief, our infirmities, our failures, our disappointments, our questions, our hurts, our finances, our goals, dreams and desires, and all the things that we have put off. We surrender all to you and ask you to heal us, restore us, and create a right spirit within us. Help us to cast off anything that is holding us back. Please help us to live today to the fullest. May our lives bring glory and honor to you. Help us to live to serve you and be open to all that you want to do in us and through us. We are grateful for the hope that you offer and that things aren’t over until you say they are over. We thank you in advance for all you will do. In the name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.

Blessings be upon you, friends!
