Daily Prayer For January 10, 2020 Empty Daily Prayer For January 10, 2020

on Fri Jan 10, 2020 7:03 pm
Hello Friends! Here’s the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

Our world has become a place where there seem to be fewer filters on what people say or do. Many people don’t think before they speak or act…it seems more people have little regard for how their words or actions will impact others…they don’t consider or value any viewpoint or feelings other than their own.

We see so many people hide behind computers and devices, and they say things they would never say to someone’s face. People bully, intimidate, cause derision, and inflict pain with their words and actions. There seems to be little room for civil discourse or intelligent discussions about differing points of view. It seems fewer people show grace or compassion; there is little room given for people to grow and learn from past mistakes. There is little in the way of forgiveness or mercy in public forums. A transgression made in a person’s youth can count against them as if it happened yesterday. We know our enemy accuses us night and day, and we see his attitude and accusations spilling over into our world in ways we have not seen before.

Lord, help us to be different from the world. Help us to act and be like Jesus. Help us to show mercy, kindness, and forgiveness, even when it’s not shown to us. Help us to overcome evil with good. While others spew hate and anger, may we be known by our love…your love. Help us to see people and our circumstances through your eyes…help us to be slow to anger when others speak harshly or judge us wrongly. Help us to remember who our real enemy is. Help us not to lose sight of the greater war that is being fought…the war for your kingdom, salvation, and eternity. You tell us not to be caught up in foolish controversies and arguments. Remind us not to waste time trying to convince someone unwilling to listen or change.

Help us to remember the best thing we can do is lift people in prayer to you…You are The One who can make blind eyes see and soften the hearts of men. Help us, so the problems of others don’t become our own. Help us to root out all anger and bitterness and let go of the things that are out of our control. We give you our hurts, disappointments, frustrations, difficult circumstances and relationships, and all the things that weigh heavy on us. Please heal the wounds that have been inflicted by others. Help us to be content with the knowledge that you know our hearts, our intentions, and the truth of every situation, even when others don’t. Help us to do our best and to trust everything else to your hands. Help us to be peacemakers that point the way to you. We ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen.

May your heart be filled with His peace!

~Hope For The Brokenhearted
