Daily Prayer For January 8, 2020 Empty Daily Prayer For January 8, 2020

on Wed Jan 08, 2020 6:59 pm
Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We know we live in a fallen world, and everything we see happening in the world has been foretold in your Word. Help us to remember that you are still firmly on the throne and firmly in control. Jesus is in us, and we are in Him. We are yours, and You are ours, and there is no better or safer place to be.

We know what our adversary is capable of…we all feel and see the effects of his limited power. At times though, we need a reminder of all that he can’t do. He can’t steal our salvation. He can’t snatch us from your hands. He can’t separate us from your love. He can’t place us in any place or position where we are beyond your reach or grasp. He can’t stop Your ability to care for us, protect us, provide for us, or deliver us. He cannot thwart your plans. He cannot stop you from redeeming for good, all that he means for harm. He can’t stop you from giving us your peace. He can’t stop us from receiving your blessings or from fulfilling your plans and purposes in our lives. He can’t quench the Holy Spirit within us or prevent You from working through us. We are held in Your arms, not in his grip. We are not at his mercy, we are held in Your merciful arms.

Help us to resist our enemy. Help us to avoid his snares. Help us to stand-fast on your Word. Help us to hunger for it, embrace it, and use it as the weapon it is against the great deceiver and his lies. Jesus used the Word against our adversary when he was being tempted by saying, “It is written.” May we do the same. Help us not to be discouraged by the things we see happening. Help us to be encouraged by your Word and your promises, and help us to keep our eyes on You.

Help us to be diligent in prayer. Help us to turn our worries and cares into prayers. Instead of talking and complaining endlessly to others about things that we can’t change, remind us to turn that time into prayer time as well. Too often, we settle for talking and complaining to others when it changes nothing. We should spend that time talking to you instead, as that is productive. You are The One who has the power to change things and to do what we can’t.

We commit this day, our families and friends, our homes, our communities, our countries, our leaders, and our world to your hands. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. It’s in Jesus’ name that we ask these things. Amen

May His hope and peace fill your hearts today!
